Show Too should seo the new Furniture atBarr&tt's. nltf) Theatre. A large audience greeted the first appearance of professor Bosoo last night, and bis illusions wotb as mysterious as ever. The professor has greatly improved since he was last here and presents ono of the finest entertainments in magia that we have ever seen. All his tricks are good, but the "Demon Hat" struck us as being particularly fine. The gre at feature of the entertainment, howover, was the "Spiritual Phenomena." A cabinet was placed upon the stago, the professor was tied by a committee appointed ap-pointed by the audience, who nlao examined ex-amined the cabinet for seorct drawers, springs, eta, but of course found none. The professor was bound with rop;s tied in knots more complicated than the knot that lovers are said to lie with their tongues and yet are unable I to loso with their teoth. Tho professor pro-fessor thus bound hand and foot, was put in the cabinet, and the doors olosed, which was no sooner done than in a few mioutos, a bcil was rung, the music of a violin and the stamping of feet wero heard from within, and a hand floated beforo a umall holo in the door of the cabinet. Tho doors were opened and the professor pro-fessor found tied as he had entered. Other experiments of an equally as-, toundiog character wore introduced which our apaco provents our men tioning this morning, and which mus be Been to be appreciated. Professor Bosco appears to night for the last time in a new programme o magical illusions and more startling experiments in spiritual phenomena. Thoro will doubtless be another crowded crowd-ed house. I |
