Xo complete returns have yet been received from any ward in the city, but the People's Legislative ticket keeps in the lead. From the interior the returns arc confused and imperfect, but enough is received to confirm the belief first entertained that the railroad monopoly monop-oly has been defeated throughout the State. The contest for Mayor here has been very close, but the Democratic candidate, McDonald, is ahead. In a count of 11,000 this evening, Cock-rille.t Cock-rille.t he Democratic candidate for Chief of Police, was 1,700 ahead. Definite figures from the interior arc expected to-morrow, showing the majority.
