Show Toe Kett filey Case. In this matter mat-ter of assault, Penrose yesterday testified as per our report of th affair, and said that he was still lame from the bruises and wounds received. Mr. Penrose did net recollect as to the articles claimed by Keithley to have appeared in the Ogden Jupciion, but upon the prisoner writing out part of the article Penrose remembered it, but couldn't say who wrote it. Mr. Morgan and the witness had a quiet little discussion as to whether the caoo blows hurt much. We, at one time, were rather expecting to behold a pleasant illustration illustra-tion of the affair, but the gentleman finally failed to demonstrate. Mr. doge orgued the case for the prosecution, stating that the assault was made cooly and deliberately and not in the heat of passion. Judge Clinton, after con sulfation, fined Keithley $100, when notice of appeal was filed and bonds for 1400 given. |
