Ex-governor Claflin.of Boston, and Mr. Hall, of Benedict, Hall it Co., New YTork, left yesterday afternoon for San Francisco, highly delighted with their visit to Salt Lake and much pleased with all they saw here. We wish them an enjoyable timo in their trip west. Col- nawkes, representing tho John Russell company, manufacturers of plated ware, tablo cutlery, &c, arrived on Sunday morning and leaves this morning for Denvor. He is a pleasant gentleman, a live business man and is satisfied with the results of his visit here. Mr, Prescott, of the Leavenworth, Kansas, Commercial, is in town, having got bo far on his return from his western west-ern trip. Wo again bid him welcome, and wish him a pleasant stay during the few days ho remains here. Mr. II. T. Buckley, representing Sau5scr, Dangler & Co., boot and shoe manufacturers, of Philadelphia; and Mr. W. H. Major, representing Ho-bart, Ho-bart, Wood & Co., boot and shoo manufacturers, man-ufacturers, San Francisco, arc among tho lato arrivals, and aro stopping at tho Townscnd. They will remain in town a few days in tho interest of their respective firms. |
