Show COUNTY CO R T N committee appointed to inspect sewer report it should be cover ed weed petition laid over county commissioners meet jug ing 01 monday oct 1911 full board and county clerk H 0 pack present commissioner whitesides reported that he had consulted with the business firms of liy ton in regard to discontinuing the payment of part of the layton night watch mans salary and L S heywood a representative of said firms protested against this action of the iho commissioners the matter was disposed of by the board appropriating 20 on said salary account for two more months november and december 1911 commissioner ford reported that he with health officer hardy and county atto attorney Attorn ripy py robinson had bad examined the salt lake city open sewer in the southern part t f davis county and had found conclusive evidence that the odor from said sewer was very offensive to the residents of the county count t y in that locality and that the committee thou thought e ht that the sewer should be covered over i the report was accepted and the committee was further instructed ted to meet with the city council of salt lake city and consult with said council in regard to the importance of having that part of the sewer properly covered A petition was presented by T B dark clark signed by land ewers of davis county asking that the commissioners appoint a weed inspector for the county and that the coin commissioners mission proceed to carry out the provisions of the noxious weed law as per laws of utah pages 2878 8 tha matter was duly considered and then laid over until tile the next session the resi resignation nation of geo H allen alien as cons constable table of south weber precinct was read accepted and ordered filed edward doman personally ap feared and asked for an ampro privation pria tion of part of the amount of his taxes for 1911 action on this was deferred until next meeting the appropriation of 25 each per year heretofore made for the th members of the board of education was after a lengthy 0 discussion increased to each adjourned to nov jtb 1911 |
