Uo had no unkind words to say of Greeley and Brown. Ho regretted re-gretted tho position they hod taken but their success would be irregularly a Democratic triumph, and aain, tho voice of robcllion would be heard in such an event, this time in Washington. Washing-ton. Ho urged New York to couie out of the doubtful States, for although its position would not effect tho result of tie election in the country, Republicans Repub-licans wanted tho empire State to occupy oc-cupy the place in Union nature intended. |
