Rock wood informs us that bo has stocked the River Jordan -with shad; between five, and seven thousand young fish of that variety having been deposited in that stream on Monday evening. These young shad were received from the U. , Commissioner of fisheries, and were brought to Ogden by the Rev. They should be placed in deep water. They require fresh water now, but no salt water. All the handling and transferring of the fish cannot be done too gently. Roekwuod, who conveyed them to' this city, and the same evening they were, deposited in the waters of the Jordan, their future home, tho instructions in-structions of the commissioner being followed in even- particular. This lot was sent iu place of those lost in the Elk Horn, by an accident to the Union Pacific train some weeks ago.
