Show Clfj Council. Meeting of the City Conned, Tuesday Tues-day evening, July 1st, Mayor Wells i presiding. Tetition of William Jennings and others,, asking the privalege of laying n side-track from the U. S. R. on Third West street across First South btrivt, was referral to the committee OJi sir-nets and alleys. , Petition of the city assessor, asking two weeks additional time in which to prepare tho assessment roll, was granted. Petition of C. W. Kitchen, asking a reduction of tho billiard, license, wad referred to the committee on licanses. Petition of T. M. .Suckctt, asking a reduction in bowling saloon licenses, was referred to tho commit tee on licenses. Some bills were allowed and the amount appropriated. Petition of H. Pin woody, nuking tbo uso of .15 feet of the street nnd tea feet of tho sidewalk in front of his premises, on First South, for a term of three months, for tho purpose- of piling building material thereon, win granted. Qjpc hundred and twenty-five dollars, dol-lars, in addition to a quantity of fireworks fire-works now owned by the eily, was ap propriated, to bo .expended in making n display of fireworks on tho evening of the Fourth of July. Council adjourned to Tuesday evening, even-ing, July Sth, nt 7 o'clock. |
