The nunilxT of spectators at Faust's race course, yesterday afternoon, to j Taylor's Honest Charley and Steel's Mountain Sheep, was not so large as had been anticipati-d ; still there wn a select company of ladies, and gentlemen gen-tlemen present. The race was mile heats, Lest three in five, Charley to 1 wagon and Sheep in harness ; stakes j $.500 a side. There was considerable betting on the outside, in most of which Charley was the favorite, there being sonic fears that Sheep would act badly, as he did in the last trot on the track. Both horses were in good fix. well-trained, and the race was . one of the must interesting and cxeit-, cxeit-, ing ever trotUtl on that course. Charley won in the iiiv-t three heats. Time : -.-"-, and Some dissatisfaction was. manitcs- ted at the clo-e of the Ihinl heat, by parties who had their money on the wrong horse, they claiming that Unheal Un-heal was won by Sheep ; however, the judges gave it to Charley.
