So that it may be understood, should " Uncle Horace" next occupy the White House, the " silver-tongued orator" will return to Salt Lake. On ' their departure east wa bid them good speed. In Mrs. Fitoh our city loses a lady who would bo an ornament to any society, intellectual, highly-cultivated, literary, and destined to leave a name and fame behind her that shall endure. The west has not seen the last of Mr. Fitch, nor of his talented lady; ho has been so long amoDg its lofty mountains, its sage plains, its liberal thoughts, and ideas corresponding correspond-ing to the breadth of its massive formation, for-mation, and knows too well its future greatness, to remain away from it. fie will probably commence the practice of his profession in New York, yet may not do so, for their aro numerous avonucs in which a man of his great and unquestioned talents can make himself useful te society. |
