Show Anna Dickinson's Feet, The-Chicago The-Chicago Pott says: In her last lecture Anna Dickinson says: "1 never was insulted but once, when a mau in a railroad rail-road car pressed my foot with his. I looked him steadily in the eye, and said, 'If you repeat that I will call the conductor and have you put off the train."' That read well, but Anna didn't tell the whole story. The man repeated the insult; Anna called the conductor, who heard the statements of both parties. Anna put in her feet in evidence, and tho conductor decided the man must have somewhere to put his feet, and told Anna that he should in future wear hers sideways. That's the truth of the whole mutter. |
