Show By W. TJ. Tolagraph. MRS. FAIR SENTENCED. San Francisco, 5. Cook concluded his argument at 4.30 p. m. Judge Dwinelle then told Campbell that he did not consider it necessary for him to reply, and proceeded to sentence Mrs. Fair to be hanged July 28. Mrs. Fair maintained almost her usual composure, compo-sure, but Mrs. Lane, her mother, wept! hysterically. Mrs. Pitts Stevens and ' other strong-minded females present manifested their sympathy in a most1 ostentatious manner. Mrs. Stevens embraced Mrs. Lane, telling her she had done all she could for her daughter; daugh-ter; then going over by the reporter's said: "You have got what you want, i now, haven't you? You havo got her jhung. It gives you great joy, Ibope." The court -room was then cleared and Mrs. Fair token back to jail and placed : alone in her celL |
