Tlio Republicans residing in the several sev-eral Territories of the L'nitcd States have been invited by the .National Ke-publican Ke-publican committee to participate in the deliberations of the National Republican Re-publican convention which is to meet at the city ol" Philadelphia, on the 5th d:iy of June, ISTl1, for the purpose of nominating candidates i'or president and vice president of the United States to be supported at tho election iu Novell) No-vell) ber. The opportunity being thus afforded for the organization of the Republican party in Utah, the undersigned havo deemed it advisable to unite in a recommendation re-commendation that a convention be held at the city hall in Salt Lake city; on Friday eveninp, April 5, at half-past half-past seven o'clock, to which convention delegates may be sent from all parts ol' , the Territory, on the basis of representation represen-tation adopted iu tho selection ol'dclo-' ol'dclo-' gates to the late Constitutional contention; con-tention; the object of tho proposed' ; convention being the selection of two delegates to the National ltepublican convention as before mentioned. In calling this convention we extend 1 the invitation to all Republicans and to all citizens who approve of the principles prin-ciples held by tho Republican party and whose views arc in consonance with that great national organization.
