Show A Plain Caution. It is as well that tlu people of Salt L ike, old residents resi-dents and laid comers, should, understand under-stand facts in they cxit. For the first tiuio in tho history of Utah tho streets of its motropolis aro infested with abandoned women openly plying their horrible traffic. With that phaso of tho tubjcot llio city authorities will doubtless deal. But added to this, "civilization," so-called, has o far developed tint respectable Indies cannot can-not walk tho streets after dark without tho daiiRcr of being insulted, followed, jostled and lewdly talked to by scoundrels scoun-drels dressed as gentlemen. To tho latter c!as of men we give plain notice- that this community has not been much accustomed to this kind of thing and will not quietly stand it; and though oourts may indict for "lascivious cohabitation" all must distinctly understand un-derstand that Mormon men and Mormon Mor-mon women respect and will guard their virtue and hou )r at every co-t. And tho former wiil not hav.e the latter insulted on the public streets of this city. Look to it; our caution is not rt sensational one, for men who undertake under-take to irnult and attempt to outrage women in this city will bo apt to meet summary punishment. |
