Show Shootinq. Yesterday Johnny Spiker, thinking he had cause of grievance griev-ance against L. V. Winans, and carry mg more beer than was his proper share, after some angry talk in the saloon under George Goddard's new store, jerked out a pistol and oonclud ed to perforate Mr. Winans' head. Tho ball struck near the left ear, glanced around a little and lodged out-Btde out-Btde the bone. Spiker waa taken into custody and is now locked up; Winans, who shortly after the shooting did not ap; ear to be very bady hurt, was taken charge of by Dr. Vollum, who extract-led extract-led the ball and has htm under his ikiliful treatment |
