Show Mechanics Lnstitcte Fair. On Tuesday last we called attention to the subject of sending specimens of the, mineral wealth of Utah, for exhibition at the approaching fair of the Mechanics Mechan-ics Institute in San Francisco. By the following telegram it will be seen that space has been reserved for Utah and Colorado, and Messrs. S. W. llowland & Co. very kindly proffer their services to forward such specimens as may be deposited with them lor that purpose. Wo trust that those interested will see that Utah is properly represented. Salt Lake City, July 15, 1S71. Editors Herald: The following telegram explains itself: it-self: "San Francisco, Cal., July 15, 1871: To S. W. Howland &Co., Space is reserved for Utah and Colorado Col-orado Territories for minerals. J. II. Gilmore, Agent lSth Industrial Fair." Parties having contributions in the shape of metals or minerals, will please send them to us by the 1st day of August next, and we will see that they are properly labeled, giving description de-scription of mine, quantity, quality, &c. &c, and forwarded to San Francisco, Fran-cisco, where they will be placed on exhibition ex-hibition on the Sth proximo.
