Show Justice's Court. There was a tolerable tol-erable attendance at tho above resort yesterday, and tho receipts were pretty fair, considering the warmth of the weather and the general dullness and apathy pervading the city. Jas. Johnson, John-son, for asserting his pugilistic propensities propen-sities at the expense of another individual, indi-vidual, was arraigned before the Doctor Doc-tor and pleaded guilty, but the injured gentleman not appearing against him, he was released by paying costs. John Gross, for fighting and disturbing dis-turbing the peace, was fined $10. John Harris, having been found guilty of stealing a pair of boots, was requested to hand over $40. A man who can afford to wear a pair of boots for which he pays the trifle of $40 ought to to possessed of a sufficient amount to place him above tho necessity neces-sity of stealing. |
