A boy numed John Allen, belonging to the Ttcth Ward, about li years of cge, went down to the Jrdin with a companion to fish, having ben forbidden to go kto the water. He concluded, however, to have a bathe ard wett into the river ahout hulf a mile from the Sixth Ward biidge, urgiijg his companion to do tie same, but the latter stefcdily refused. Soon after young Allen disappeared dis-appeared under the water. His com-pan;on com-pan;on ran for tome men at adi-tancc, but it was ashless. The body had not bden fuund up to yesterday. |
