Show Accidentally Killed. Alma L Smith, E-q , informs us that on last Thursday evening as three men were working in the bpriggs coal mine near Coalville, and were getting a loaded coal car onto the track, a mass ofiock fell, ciushing Jolm Griffiths underneath under-neath it and killing him. Abouc two minutes before, one ol the others said he heard something crack. How the two su'vivors escaped is a wonder. The uufortunate man was about an hour under the rock before it was cleared from him, but h- was most likely instantaneously killed, as his head was crushed flat. He was a young man, a native of Wales, and used to live with his parents in Malad valley, who died sometime recently It is believed that the cause of the rock falling was that there had been too much space left between the floor and roof of the mine without pillars to support the roof- |
