Show Terrific Torxado in Arkansas and Mississippi A terrible tornado passed over a portion of Arkansas and Mississippif on Fnday last, doing im metise darri3ge"-to the crop-: along its path, and it is believed utterly ruining rhe cotton. It rose, as near as can be ascertained, in the vicinity of Council Bend, Arkansas, and passed down to the head of Beaver Dam and thence down into Bolivar coun'y, if not beyond, be-yond, sweeping cabins, lences, trees, etc., and causine, it is apprehended, soa'e loss of life. It partook ot wind, rain and hail, which came down with terrible fury. The path of tne storm was about two miles in width. The crops had been almost unui-ually promising, prom-ising, but are now black and prostrate. The to: nado was repeated on Saturday, Satur-day, passing nearly over the course of the day previous, adding greatly to the immense damage already Hone. The hail stones which fell on Friday were large and rouird, oDe ot them weighing four ounoee. Th stones hih citne down on the second day were jagged, m devoid of form as crabs, and there fore more injurious. So violent a storm has never been experienced before be-fore in th section through which it passed The damage is incalulable, and so far as the cotton is concerned, at least, i9 irreparable Our informant suffered a os of some 150 acres, all of which was laid entirely waste.
