Show Theatre. To-night "Luke the Laborer" opens the performance. Mr. Margetts appears as Luke, a part which he played some years ago with considerable success, before he had gained the stage experience which he now has. Those who saw him in the character then will doubtless be anxious to see him in it now. and will be able to draw comparisons; while those who have not seen him sustain it before will have a chance to see a favorite comedian com-edian in a role entirely different to that in which he usually appears. Miss Adams and a good distribution of characters have the other parts of the drama in hands. Professor Ncedhaui will execute a olo ou the violincello, an instrument wl)ich he is said to play wiih marked ability.. The fine old comedy of "Naval Engagements" closes the performance, with .Mr. Me-Ivon.ic, Me-Ivon.ic, Miss Adams aud a good cast. We notice that "The Evil Genius" is underlined. |
