In all. about sixty men were summoned, and of these "twelve good men and true' were "packed" into the jury box or the seats which answer fur it. It's the easiest thinjj in the world to get a jury in Sa't Lake City jusl now, as "Mormons "Mor-mons ' who won't be accepted are so few. and "uoa-Mormous' ' with the necessary tiualifications are so numerous. numer-ous. That is the reason why it was got through with so Quickly yesterday. We are glad to note that our advice of a couple of days ago, not to employ Mormons in such business as sitting on juries, has been followed. It is time these Mormons should learn how beautifully twelve men can be packed in a box instead of throwing throw-ing themselves all over a room. Isn't it astonishing, though, that in Salt Lake City only four Mormons 3ould be found? We didn't know they had be come to very scarce. |
