Show Boundary survey. Mr. Isaac James, the well known civil eneineer and surveyor of this city, says the Territorial Enterprise, has obtained ob-tained the contract for the government survevofthe line between this State and Utah, and will begin the work next week. lie will laki with him a par.y of from 12 to 15 men, 14 mules and the necessary wagons. All the men will be armed with Henry rifles, in order that the party may not offer any undue temptation to wandering squads of Indians. The survey will be commenced at the railroad, and the line run n;rth to the Idaho line, when the party will return and Girry the line south to the t'olortdo. A p- st six inelu s square is to be planted every mile along the line. At the railroad is to be set up a monument twelve inches aqitiiv and six feet high. Rcae Aa-r |
