Show a am A Xew Map. Numerous inquiries having been made from a distance, as to the projects for opening wholesale and retail liquor shops in c-janeedon with the Cottonwood and Ba,h Vailov mines, our esteemed friend "Gjpher" took the ma-.t-.-r in hand, and has produced pro-duced a map showing the situation at a glance. It is a leetle ahead of Mark Twain s war map, wr.h this d;5erenc-e, that it presents a correct map of the country. Rxsh Valley has four mammoth mam-moth wooden shanties, yclept saloon.-, all closed; Ophir presents '"nominations '"nomina-tions for poi-on closed:" Bingham has '"three saloons closed for want oi custom;" "Gould i Woodward's distillery dis-tillery closed." is another; while above it the eye meets '"Howard '"How-ard s Liquor Store closed;'' altogether alto-gether a closing affair. The C. P. and L. C. show long lines of cars filled with defeated Xevada politicians: a huge wagon is hauling horn silver foi the "Sale Like Exchange;" Col. Buei'a smelting wjrks show "nary smeli:" and "C asey's discovery" looms up in the Salt Lake so big that it would have been a wonder if he hadn't discovered it. Taken as whole the map is unique and '"Gopher" would have been im mortalized by it, if he had not gained that enviable distinction before. Get it lithographed, friend "Gopher." |
