Show MIXING. ' We have often shown that the district dis-trict of Reese River produced the richest rich-est silver ores found in the State. The district of Secret Canon, in this county, and that of Mineral Hill in Elko County, Coun-ty, are also becoming celebrated for their rich ores of the same metal. The following table, which we compiled from the books of the Manhattan Company, presents an extraordinary lot of ore from these districts, all of which were worked during tho past fortnight. We doubt if the record of any works anywhere for the reduction of silver ore can surpass or equal the list : Mine. Focirtt. Va.prT. Small lots of very rich ore may build up but they will not sustain sus-tain settlements. The low grade ore of a district, which is the great bulk of its product, must be relied on to maintain main-tain large and prosperous communities. Rich ore benefits the individual, but the poorer or ordinary grade promotes tho interest of the whole. Our experience ex-perience teaches us that the time has arrived for utilizing those large bodies of ore, worth from $10 to $70 per ton, which have been hitherto wasted or neglected. The period of speculation has passed and it is time that we should begin to understand and husband hus-band our resources. If any miner owns a mine in this vicinity that will produce $40 or $50 ore in any reasonable reason-able quantity, we advise him to make his title clear and hold on to the property, pro-perty, for the day is not distant when it will be valuable. Our merchants are directly concerned con-cerned in this matter of increasing the production of the district. It might be wise in them to offer inducements to miners and prospectors to develop neglected mines of low grado ore, some of which might be found to contain con-tain enough silver, under skillful and economical management, to pay.
