Show . Silver City. Some gentlemen "who would a fishing go," or something some-thing else, ' paid a visit to Utah lake last week, enjoyed the scenery around and the trout of which they partook. Then starting on an excursion of. pleasure and inquiry, . they traveled over rolling hLllsj through canon gorges and other places barren-looking to the inexperienced eye, but to the wideawake wide-awake individual lavish with wealth underneath. . Journeying thus, they reached Silver city, tho principal town of the Tintic mining district, and here is their description of it: "A billiard saloon, ' blacksmith ' shop, grog-hole, some tents, several drunks, a free fight, water some miles off, hole down ninety; feet hunting a: spring without success, and any number of r ch or imaginary rich leads in' the neighbor- -hood.". We've told the tale as 'twas . told to us. Perhaps some of the Tin-tic Tin-tic "boys" will wish to give another side of the picture, so come oh with it. |
