Show School Exercises. The examination examina-tion of the school conducted by the Misses Cook, basement of the Social Hall, came off yesterday and was very gratifying. The exercises were numerous numer-ous in reading, spelling, arithmetic, grammar, geography, declamation and gymnastics, and were highly creditable to the care of the ladies in charge pf the school and the application of the pupils. The exercises in gymnastics were especially interesting, the whole school showing a keen appreciation of their value as a means of healthful exercise. ex-ercise. It is pleasing to note that the school is in a prosperous condition. The Misses Cook are thoroughly expe; rieticed and competent teachers. |
