Show I3y Telegraph. j Alabama Election. Montgomery, 11, In about five counties heard from the Democrats have l,5u0 majority. The remaining fourteeu counties will give 500 more Democratic majority. The Democrats elect sixty members of a Legislature of 100, and probably five more. The following fol-lowing are elected to Congress: 1st district, dis-trict, -Turner, negro radical; 2nd, Buckley, Buck-ley, radical; 3rd, Haudley, Democrat; 4ih, Hayes, radical; 5tb, Fox, Democrat; Demo-crat; tith, Sioss, Democrat. Election niot. Lake City, Fla., II. There was a riot here the night before the election, caused by negroes with arms parading the streets. Thirty or forty shots were fired and two negroes wore wounded. None of the whites were hurt. The negroes had shot guns and muskets, and the wkites had pistols. After firing fir-ing a volley into tho whites, tho negroes ne-groes scattered. Florida Election. The election throughout the State passed off quietly. Both parties worked hard. The returns to-day indicate that theconservatives have carried the State in the election of their Congressmen aud Lieutenant Governor. Seven strong Republican counties give them three majority; ten conservative counties give a conservative majority of 2,000: sixteen other conservative counties, to hear from, will place them ahead of the Republicans. Both houses of the Legislature are conservative. |
