Show CONGRESSIONAL. i j SENATE. Patterson reported, and asked present pres-ent consideration of, a bill to pay to Hon. B, C. Schenck, minister to Great Britain, his salary from the date of his appointment, but no additional compensation com-pensation to be paid him for serving as a member of the joint high commission. Unanimous consent being necessary for the passage of the bill, Tipton objected and the bill went over. The regular order being Sherman's resolutiou for the Ku Klux legislation, was then proceeded pro-ceeded with. |
