A iro body of water is passing down through the IIli's Island property, on the Shenandoah, and liars are entertained enter-tained that it will do serious damage. The rain storm which has continued here since last midnight, renews ap- prehensions of a serious freshet, l'es-- l'es-- terday morning the temporary supports under the railroad bridge across the Potomac were knocked away by the dnlt ot wood floating in the stroneg current of the river. Travel across the bridges is suspended. The work of pumping out the iron steamer Hercules, Her-cules, at Georgetown, is suspended until un-til the freshet subsides. The river is very hiirh.
