Show Stajipino Papers;. Some persons in mailing papers to Great Britain apparently ap-parently are under the impression that a two-cent, stamp will frank any number num-ber under four ounces weight. This is a mistake. It will pay .the postage on such a package anywhere in the United States ; but every single paper sent to any part of Great Britain must have'a two cent, stamp on it. Nor must the papers be written on. . We have been shown a package at the post office, detained de-tained because both these points of law were infringed. The package contained con-tained two copies of the Herald, and one of the Dcseret News ; and on one of them was a communication written in phonography. It was addressed to Glasgow, and had only one two-cent, stamp, instead of each paper being folded and stamped separately. |
