"wooden-gun rebellion" examination. examina-tion. The Associate Justice wanted somebody to make affidavit concerning it Why didn't somebody respond 1 Why didn't the Territorial Secretary or a deputy marshal, or some other high functionary swear, as the Judge desired ? They couldn't plead ignorance igno-rance of it, for an artillery muster wa publicly announced on the 10th last Wednesday week to be held on the Friday following, yesterday week. The Associate Justice needn't ask us ta swear about it; we haven't gone into that business yet. The Corinne men thought they had a perfect right to muster, quietly setting aside the proclamation; and a great many people peo-ple in other places thought the same; and it is reported that some Corinne men said, if anybody went there to make arrests he would get a head put on him!
