Show Be.nei'it of Mr. Bower. On Tuesday Tues-day evening Mr. W. H. Power takes a farewell benefit. This gentlemen came here quietly, lias played ell'cctively.and conducted himself honorably. He is a valuable addiiiuu to any regular company, pl;..yii1(! i!,e eUaiacic-is intrusted in-trusted to him with discretion, care and ability. The bill selected for his benefit is a very attractive one, and alone should crowd the house. The titic drama, "Robert Emmet, or the Iri.di Patriot," is the leading piece, with its interesting features and magnificent mag-nificent dying speech. "The Six Degrees De-grees of Crime," also new here, will likewise be played; and by kind permission per-mission of General Morrow and Adjutant MeGinnis, the fine brass band from Camp Douglas will appear and play choice selections of music. We bespeak for Mr. Power a crowded house on the occasion of his benefit. e understand the gentleman will bkely return here again in a few weeks. |
