Show j Business of the Crushing anp Sampling Works. The following is the weekly report of the crushing and sampling works of Messrs. S. W. How-j How-j land & Co. : Salt Lake, April 29, 1871. Editors Herald : We have received and sampled during dur-ing the week the following amounts of ore and bullion from the various districts, dis-tricts, all of which has been carefully assayed and shipped : Ore 357 sacks, 30,051 lb?., from the Sunbeam mine, of L. J. Whitney, and bought by Mr. N. Armstrong for jus; 783 sacks, 65,223 lbs., copper, from i the Mammoth mine, also bought by i Mr. Armstrong; 546 sacks, 30,776 'lbs., from the Deseret Mining Com-jpany, Com-jpany, Tintic; 147 sacks, 7,060 lbs., from the Vallejo mine, East Canon, owned by Mr. I. M. Wallace; 611 sacks, 50,382 lbs., Petaluma mine, consigned to Wm. Gardner; 64 sacks, 3,453 lbs., and 50 sacks, 3,115 lbs., from the Anna and Fairview mine, Barnes & Knowlden; 87 sacks, 8,850 lbs., from the North Star mine, owned by Mr. Bruno; 91 sacks, 6,369 lbs., froji the Silver Shield, J. B. Meader, for 0. H. Swain, Truckoe. Bullion 138 bars, 16.97S lbs, bullion, bul-lion, from the smelting works of Thomas Whitney, bought by us; 152 bars, 13,896 lbs, bullion, from Jones & Bobbins, 35 bars, 3,642 lbs, bullion, bul-lion, from the smeltiDg works of Soo. field, Jones & Raymond, consigned to Wm. Gardner, and bought by us; 624 bars, 73,283 lbs, bullion, from the works of I. C. Bateman & D. E. Buel, also bought by us.
