Show Theatre. Messrs. Margetts and Bowring will open this popular place of entertainment on Saturday night with a fine, interesting drama and a roaring farce the "Huguenot Captain"' and "Love in Livery" in which a very strong local company will appear. Messrs. McKenzie, Margetts, Bowring, Bow-ring, Mcintosh, Thompson, Evans, Merrill, Kelly, Matthews and others ; with Miss Adams, Miss Colebrook, Mrs. M. A. B.omney and Miss Piatt, we believe names well known to the public will be among those who will seek to please and amuse the public. Mrs. Bowring and Mr. Thorne will also, we understand, soon add to the strength of the company. Mr. John C. Graham will have charge of the box .office and treasury department. The Lessees arc determined to produce a series of attractive novelties in rapid succession, sustained by the best talent that can be secured. They are well known, have been long connected with the drama here, are great favorites with the public, have faithfully endeavored en-deavored for years to please and amuse, and we hope they will receive that degree de-gree of encouragement and public patronage that will make their enterprise enter-prise successful, and secure to our city a regular continuance of entertainments. |
