Show WATERWORKS EIGHT Warm Time In Court Over the Receivership Re-ceivership Petition There was a warm time in the district dis-trict court last night when Judge Ro lapp heard a motion of plaintiffs in the case of Ogden City vs the B R I Sr O W W company for the appointment appoint-ment of a receiver The attorneys for the defendant Evans Sr Rogers had previously filed a petition asking for a change of venue on the ground of local prejudice and that the judge had been at one time employed as counsel for the predecessors of the defendant company They objected to the hearing hear-ing of the receivership petition by Judge Rolapp while the petition for change of venue was pending This phase of the question brought out personalities per-sonalities and sarcastic exchange between be-tween the attorneys The court held that it could properly hear the receivership receiv-ership petition Five days time was allowed to file exceptions Another question was as to whether it should be argued at this time defendants de-fendants attorneys laying great stress upon what they called the indecent haste shown the petition having only been filed the evening before C C Richards insisted that the appointment ap-pointment of a receiver was necessary at once as defendant was collecting water rates for 189S and plaintiff had an interest in the money After an hour and a half of argument the court set the hearing on the petition for Saturday Sat-urday afternoon Six Weddings Yesterday was a day of weddings in Ogden six couples being married Bishop Taylor married Lawrence T Butler and Miss Marie
