Show Standard vs Associated Press Another chanter oft the differences between the Ogden Standard and the Associated Frees came yesterday in the form of a complaint filed with the clerk of the Second district court The Standard Publishing company filed a suit against the Associated Press a corporation organized in Illinois asking for a mandatory writ to compel the defendant company to carry out an agreement alleged to have been entered into in November 1S9S The agreement is in effect said to be that the defendant defend-ant furnish the Standard With a night preen report and was afterward modified modi-fied so as to permit the paper to take only the day report at a lesser rate for a time The plaintiff company claims it i3 willing to fulfill its part of the contract but that the defendant company refuses re-fuses It is further set forth that there is I no other news agency through which I the Standard can secure a full report of the news and that the continued violation vio-lation of the agreement has resulted in irreparable injury to the plaintiff and will unless Checked destroy the business busi-ness of the plaintiff and render worthless worth-less its entire plant and property William Glasman of the Standard company swears to the truth of the complaint which was drawn by A J Weber and John D Murphy |
