Show GRAIN AID PROVISIONS Trading I Wheat Dull Provisions Ruled Steady Chicago April 9With the exception of a little activity around the opening trading trad-ing In wheat was so dull as to be hardly worthy of mention There was a general gen-eral Inclination among traders to await Mondays developments at Washington b fore committing themselves very much and this and the absence of any Incentive In the way of cable quotations confined trading almost altogether to a slow and narrow scalping business The opening was steady In July at S4JIS5 cents compared com-pared with yesterdays closing price of 845 cents There was evidently still some nervousness among shorts on account of Yesterdays heavy buying movement but the demand from this source soon dlel away Most of the speculators In the pit were bearishly inclined on account of the favorable crop reports from Ohio and Kentucky As the government crop report re-port on Monday is expected to be favorable favor-able there was a little selling pressure put on the market for a short time aftr the opening resulting In a decline to 84 cents This was removed and buying stimulated somewhat by New York advices ad-vices to the effect that forelgnrs were good buyers there against liberal acceptances ac-ceptances of yesterdays offerings and ths price slowly recovered to s the highpoint high-point of the day After this advance ad-vance the market gradually sold oft again to SW iS4si cents under realizing and for the r st of the session did not move Me either way September followed July closely In the matter of fluctuations There was a little revival of Interest In May which has been practically at a standstill oil w ek and a number of stantstl trades were made In it at 106 a cent above yesterdays price The market was almost at a standstill toward the close July closed at SSSIi a shade under yestjrdays final price Corn was easier on moderate amount of trading May closed Sc lower Oats were very dull and practically without
