Show I MIDAS ORE TO BE TREATED I F C Moorehouse gs in Trenty four Tons From Clifton I F C Moorehouse came in from the Clifton district yesterday bringing with him twentyfour tons of ore from the Midas Mi-das and Lucky May mines conditionally purchased by Messrs Chambers Mackintosh Mackin-tosh and McCune This ore is to be treated treat-ed by two processes the cyanide and pan amalgamation In the lastnamed tests the Roth amalgamator is to be used and I both of the experiments are to be of a thorough nature with the end in view of determining just what process will take care of all ot the values in the ores Recent Re-cent tests made at the Gold Hill plant of the Cane Springs Consolidated Mining company with the Crawfords there were a signal failure but a comparatively small percentage of the values being retained re-tained in the mills The tests are to be made just as soon as practicable I Speaking of the general operations in I the district and especially in the group of mines in which he is directly Interestea I Mr Moorehouse stated that neitner the Midas nor the Lucky May is just now looking very flattering although ore bodies bod-ies have been opened up and some extrac I tion is continually being done The vein 1 has not yet been cut by the drifts com I menced some time ago for the purpose of 1 developing the properties below the former for-mer levels The outlook is not gloomy however Two ranchers Messrs Bress and Sand I quist have just made an important strike I I on properties they have been working for some time past They have a threefoot vein of ore which averages 516 to the ton The shaft on the claim on which the strike was made is now down twenty four feet |
