| Show MACHINERY IS DIShAYRU Operations at the DalyWest Mill at u Standstill in Consequence There I being experienced some considerable con-siderable delay in the receipt of the machinery for the new mill of the DalyWest and as a result nothing is doing at the plant Shipment of the entire lot should have been made from San Francisco about the middle of the past week but nO advices have as yet been received as to when it will arrive in the Park General Manager Daly sin s-in hopes of getting the mill into full operation by the first of the new year Although nothing can be done at the i mill there is no idleness about the hoisting works of the company which are being torn out in order that they I may be replaced with a heavier plant I one that will make possible the sinking I sink-ing of the main shaft from the 1200 to 1 the 1500 levels which work is now in progress I Plant Ready to Operate Just as it nov stands the new plant erected by James W Neill out at Bingham Bing-ham for the purpose of treating the low grade ores of the district by means of a system of desulphurizing is ready for operation and in the morning the gentlemen named will go out to the camp for the purpose of commencing work smoothly This is no experiment iment Mr Neill having thoroughly demonstrated the worth of the entire process as applied to the treatment of the Bingham as well as many other classes of ores Visited the Mcrcnr Country Two parties of heavy railroad people peo-ple paid the Camp Floyd district a l visit yesterday One was headed by Colonel Dodge of the Rio Grande Western and the other by Receiver Riistine of the Colorado Midland While the time was not protracted the gentlemen had an opportunity of seeing considerable of the district and all were extremely well pleased with the showing made The visit of Colonel Dodge attracted a great deal of attention fpr the reason that there is a strong possibility that the Rio Grande Western will yet build Into the camp from its Eureka branch Mr Ristine and party went east last evening but Colonel Dodge remained here Shack S-hack From Arizona George Bradley chief draughtsman j for L C Trent Co returned to Salt i I 1ake this morning after an absence of month which works a he put in at the of the Detroit Copper company near II Mimci Arizona His visit was made for the I purpose of making measurements I and drafts Slor the concentrator and con 1 vertor plant that the company will put In at once Mr Bradley Will have the designing of the entire plant The copper company is one of the greatest in the I world Its president is a Mr Church of j Denver The properties of the company have already produced several millions of I dollars in dividends Operations Are Favorable II Since its resumption of operations the Spanish mill at Bingham has been doing do-ing splendid work and saving the values to a high per cent This end is accomplished accom-plished by a modified use of the cyanide process peroxide of sodium being most freely used Considerable product has been taken ou t Inspected the AVorUs Treasurer Nash of the Omaha Grant I in company with Mr Hanauer yesterday I visited and inspected the works of the I Hanauer Smelting company He was well pleased with the showing made The I Hanauers are now operating three stacks the capacity of the works I is highly probable that some extensive improvements I im-provements will speedily be ordered Silver Moved Up I There was a change for the better I in the white metal yesterday the close on the New York market being G7 cents a compared with 6734 cents on I the day before Lead remained uncharged un-charged Attracting Some Attention I Now it is the north country that is attracting not a little attention out in the Camp Floyd district and some extensive ex-tensive developments are in order there I is reported that within the past few 1 days some important changes have taken place and the northern end of the district dis-trict gives great promise for the future I VII Operate This AVeelc I I is understood that the preliminary I tests at the mill of the DaltonLark I have proven so successful that active operations are to be Inaugurated within the next few days I Some Rich Ore Moving I I K Parsons has just returned from out in Nevada where he visited a number num-ber of mines in the vicinity of Tusca rora He says that in the company properties perties there is absolutely nothing doing I do-ing but to the south a number of good claims are being operated and from one shipments of high grade gold ore are I made regularly These shipments go out on the stage showing that the ore is highly valuable I |
