BURR McIXTOSItS qUEST Burr McIntosh the Taffy of Trilby at the Garden theatre New York is quite an authority on football He used to be a New York newspaper reporter re-porter before he went on the stage and this season he will write gossip of the sport and report the Saturday games within 150 miles of that city for a syndicate of newspapers To do this he will have to employ a capable actor satisfactory to his manager to play his part ait the Saturday matinee and evening performances He is looking for the actor and is willing to pay him CO per week The actor that gets the engagement will have a soft snap for he will have all but Saturdays to himself It is not believed be-lieved that a similar instance is to be found in the annals of the stage
