STRIKE LETTERCARRIERS Entire Force of Paris Goes OutNo Pars Mail Delivery Paris May IS Owing to the refusal of the senate to vote for the bill for Increase pay for postmen recently passed by the chamber of deputies about 800 postmen refused to go to work today and later the whole force numbering 3000 men went out on strike As a result there were no mal delverie this morning Even the em assies have not received their letters The men are standing in groups outside the poBtofilce The postoffice was besieged by business busi-ness men this morning who demanded their letters M Mougot arranged for a delivery In the afternoon The sorting sort-ing was done by clerks who have been placed at the disposal of the postal authorities au-thorities by the big commercial houses and banks They are under the direc I ton of the auxiliary sorters The mail will then be delivered by soldiers conducted con-ducted by policemen The absence of a regular mail del cry has caused great disturbance in business circles The cabinet met today to-day considered the strike and decided to severely punish the leaders Paris May 19The postmans strike bas ended the first brigade resuming work at 4 oclock this morning At this hour almost the entire force is present In the iiostofflce Special deliveries will be made today
