WJECK OF THE PORTLAND Believed Tat the Steamers Hull Has Been Located Boston March 2t is believed that the hull of the lost steamer Portand has been located The crew of the schooner Maud S yesterday hauled up a quantity of steamer fnishlngs entangle In their fishing trwls The point at which it was brought UP was twentytwo and a hal miles east hal north from Boston lht 1he depth of the water was between be-tween fifty and sixty fathoms Only a few welts ago another fisherman fisher-man at very nearly the same place brought up some washbowl fUn but thee could r t be pOsitively identified I The articles just found when brought ashore today were positively identified by Agent C F Williams of the Portland line as beIng a par or the furnishings In one of the cabtqs of the steamer while the fnd1n of a garter leads to the belief that there are bodies In the wreck or the 20 human beings who went down with thE steamer in the terrific gale of Nov 26 and Z the rem1ns of less than renins thirty were Tecovered along the shore of Cane Cod over thirty miles away I Is possible therefore thatmany bodies are In the wnEck
