Show INJURY A DEATH Distressing Accident C S Nelson of Montpelier Ida Special Correspondence Montpelier Ida Slay 10Last Friday L S Nelson while hitching four horses to a sulky plow let them get beyond his control I trot and they ran away catching him with the plow In such a way as to make It necessary to amputate the right leg above the knee He was hurt Internally also This together to-gether with the nervous shock and severs suffering In taking off the limbs resulted in his death yesterday Mr Nelson was upwards of sixty years of age but up to the time of the accident was In good health He leaves a wife and large family Wouldnt Stay In the Jail Special Correspondence Sit Pleasant Slay 11Mt Pleasants new city Jail was tried and found wanting want-ing last evening Hans Hansen a young man from Moronl had been locked In the jail for having Imbibed too freely of the liquid which Inebriates He was prett well along and the marshal thought It unnecessary to put him in the cage Inside In-side OL thirty llllliuiira however Hansen was out and sneaking down back alleys on the way home He had gotten on top of the cage put his feet against a window and pushed the iron shutters bars window and windowframe out of the wall and then jumped through He did not go but a short distance before being recaptured and was brought back and securely caged He was taxed Jj last evening on a charge of drunkenness |
