| Show WILSON A HOST Officials ExOfficials and NewspaperMen Newspaper-Men Dine With Him at the Heed The passing out of the old county officials and the coming in of the new was yesterday characterized by a very pleasant event when a dinner was tendered to them by exCommissioner William G Wilson The event was arranged for at the Reed At the table were William G Wilson John Seaman John C Child J C Armstrong E W Wade Levi B Ham mon Joseph P Ledwidge Newton Farr John A Boyle F B Hurlbut Alma D Chambers Joseph S Peery A J Weber W M Hansen E H Wright Gilbert K Belnap Heber Wright J D Sullivan John Tyler The newspapers were represented byE by-E A Littiefield of the State Journal A C Ivins of the Press W D Duncan of the Standard and W 3L Wattis of The Herald The menu was tasteful and served in the best style of the Reed It was nearly 2 oclock before the courses were finished There were no formal speeches A remark by exTreasurer Hurlburt about his holding certain things in reserve brought out a retort that Hurlburt always held back a big reserve The pat allusion to the ex collectors judicious holding of the funds in dispute brought out others equally witty The newspaper men were specially admonished to partake of the roasts and the puffs on the bill of fare because the assembled officials offi-cials had partaken of one or the other from most of the scribes The hour was too late when the courses were finished to permit formal talks the new commissioners being due at their first meeting at 2 p m |
