The Esmeralda Touches at Acapulco CITY OF MEXICO May I5A dispatch received late last night from Acapulco says The Chilian cruiser Esmeralda entered this port yesterday and sailed again today Several of her bel officers were ashore and used the wires and mado various inquiries regarding the action of the United States showing they are informed the cruiser Charleston has been sent in pursuit of the Itata They steamed north to intercept the Itata and protect her should the Charleston attempt to capture herThe The officers who came ashore were very reticient but from one of the sailors it is learned they expected to sight the Itata and act as her consort down the coast The Esmeralda has a numerous crew and in appearance they are votorous and will fight wi The above dispatch is confirmed at the war department but the officers are inclined in-clined to be reticient A prominent official said the cruiser was warned not to remain in port as Mexico was not harboring insurgent in-surgent vessels and did not recognize any other government in Chi than that of Balmaceda I
