JOHN S LEWIS DEAD A WellKnown Pioneer Succumbs of Heart Failure John S Lewis for many years a prominent promi-nent business man of this city died suddenly sud-denly at his residence on Vine street last evening of heart failure Mr Lewis had been somewhat indisposed for a few days but his ailment was not thought to be of a serious nature and yesterday he stated that he felt much better Mr Lewis was nearly 58 years of age a native of Wales and came to Utah in the pioneer days He was for many years engaged in the mercantile business and until recently was a member of the firm of Barnes Lewis Co The deceased was a man of sunny disposition and was popular with ail classes but more especially among his countrymen He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss Notice No-tice of the funeral will be given hereafter
