Show COURT MATTERS AT PARIS IDAHO Sheohy i Found Guilty Suspending a Jury in the Quarselle Case PAIUS Idaho March l9Special telegram tele-gram to THE HERALDThe case of George Sheehy for embezzlement was on trial all day yesterday Several witnesses were put on the stand for the prosecution The defense put no witness on the stand After arguments from attorneys on both sides the court instructed the jury and they retired in charge of a bailiff They returned in fifteen minutes with a verdict of guilty as charged in the indictment Counsel for defendant asked for sentence to be passed on him this morning No sentence has as yet been passed Today a motion for a new trial was made by H W Smith counsel for Sheeny The court took the matter under advisement The whole day has been occupied in impaneling im-paneling ia jury in the Quarselle case Ellen Elm will be tried separately r although al-though the indictment read jointly accusing accus-ing Quarselle and Ellen Elm of the crime of murder The grand jury made their final report this afternoon and they were discharged Cahill will plead tomorrow on another indictment charging him with implication in the Burgoyne robbery The court issued an order for eighteen I jurors in the Quarselle case this afternoon and instructea the sheriff to have them in court tomorrow at 10 am There are over twenty witnesses for the prosecution in this murder case What the facts will be you will be advised during dur-ing the progress of the trial The backbone of winter is broken and the snow is fast disappearing It is raining rain-ing some here today |
