| Show EOKKKA NUGGETS More Work This Your Than Lust Increase In Population Expected There in nothing exciting in mining I circle in Tintic Tho mines are running along as usual with output averaging somewhat some-what better than one year ago The Keystone Key-stone is shipping the richest ore sent out by this rich ore producing district The new shaft is equippsd with a temporary steam hoist that can be used until the largo engine is put in place next spring The works will be lighted by electricity this week The drift to connect with the Colorado Chief is being pushed as fast as machine drills can do the work and will be finished in less than sixty days when the Keystone will be the best ventilated mine in EureKa The BullionBeck still leads in number of tons sent out The ground north of tho shuft Is being prospected more vigorously since the late discoveries on the 400 level Some important changes are said to be contemplated con-templated when Mr Beck returns but one can hear of contemplated changes every day in a mining camp The Mammoth is looking well and is in fine shape The output will soon be increased in-creased and mere men employed The Eureka Hill is incraasing the working I work-ing iorce gradually and will soon take her place as leader in ore shipments But little lit-tle ore has been hoisted tor three months but prospecting has been prosecuted with most gratifying results Crosscutting north and south on the vein L in the Petro tunnel shows many inaicationa of ore bodies It is generally conceded that t i 1 lliW depth on this property wilLmake tho Pedro a producer The Diamond shaft is down over 200 feet with low grade ore in the bottom If the ore does not increase in value with depth it will prove an exception in this district The shaft on the George Logan is over 175 feet deep The ledge matter is changing from iron to quartz that assays well This claim lies west of the Eureka Hill in the lime bolt and shows the same surface indications indi-cations as that great mine The Lady Godiva is said to be improving right along There are but three men employed em-ployed in tho tunnel at present but a few more will be put on soon Lee Hopper is working In the Yorkville tunnel which is said to be a most promising promis-ing claim There is a fivefpotvein of low grade ore in sight upon which the owners intend sinking soon There is but little being done in North Tintic district Jack Bolgor and Jimmey Harrington aro driving the tunnel on the Parragut with most encouraging indications indica-tions An assay recently made suo ved fourteen ounces of silver and traces of gold NORTH EUREKA AND OTHER POINTS Captain Deprizen intends starting up tho North Eureka as soon as practicable the snow being too deep at present to got supplies sup-plies from town This part of Tmtio will be lively next season as Mr E Peebles of Ogden will put on a force dnveloping the Hermome Davis and Robetson will soon let contracts on their groups the C W Band B-and D 1 H for a tunnel 400 feet and a I shaft 300 feet besids many others who have fine prospects there will do all they can to prove tho continuity of the Eureka vein systems through that country Miners are a migratory class and many of the boys are getting reaay for a trip north to the Cripple Creek country There is a mineralized celt of country north of Eureka which offers more flattering inducements induce-ments to the hardy prospector than will be found outside of Utah but it is too close to home to attract much attention here although there are some old Colorado men who have taken up claims who say they will stay with Tintic as long as they can rustle grub The Mohawk Queen IB to be incorporated soon The claim lies south L the D and K ground ana east of the Shamrock This enterprise is being engineered by Mr N A Robertson a Salt Lake attorney A large body of manganese and iron has been opened up on this property from which some good assays have been taken Owing to the fact that our mines are turning out so much ore and improving with depth there are many contemplated improvements to be commenced soon Mr R G Wilson of the Eureka hotel is going to put up a fine threestory building and upper Main street will receive several new large stores this spring It is expected ex-pected that 1500 people will be added to Eurekas population before 1893 and Mammoth Silver City ana Diamond are receiving a good share of attention attracted at-tracted by the number of properties of great promise to be had on reasonable terms In fact Tintic is a most Inviting field for investors I |
