| Show Kuklux in New Jersey Special to THE HERALD Examiner Dispatch BELLVIDERE N J April 10 The residents of this place arc considerably excited over the depredations of a gang which infests the neighborhood neigh-borhood and whose operations are similar to those of the kuklux The gang has for sometime some-time past done much mischief and when anyone any-one incurred their illwill he was subjected to many indignities Thomas oden a newsdealer who keeps a notion store onposlte the railroad depot has lost much property lately and he ap pealed to the authorities Several young men alleged to be members of the kuklux klan were nrmstcd and taken before local justices but managed to get off Tuesday night Noden received notice telling him he must leave the town or it would be worse for him The notice was posted upon the door of his store and was adorned with Mdlth and crossbones and purported pur-ported to comerrom the kuklux klan Noden notified the authorities and the borough council meeting last night concluded that the outrage had gone far enough Other parties have also received ghastly notices Marshal Collins has received instrtctions from the council to xun the gang to cover at all hazards i |
